After I released my two previous photo books (Denmark & Japan), I wanted to veer from any sort of travel photography, and focus on the beauty in front of me everyday. Any time I left my house, even for a small trip like grabbing coffee, I would have my camera. After about a year of this, I realized I had a massive trove of photos taken within a half-mile of my house in Roscoe Village--a family-oriented, suburb-like neighborhood on the Northside of Chicago.
