Following the release of my photo zines Japan & Denmark, I wanted to veer from travel photography all together, and instead focus on elevating the scenes considered mundane in everyday life. These images were all taken on a half-mile stretch of Roscoe Street in Chicago, over the course of a year living in the neighborhood. Originally released as a 60-page book in July 2018, what started as a challenge of active observation has become an essential part of my process as a photographer.
