Climate Strike
Compared to other strikes I’ve shot, this differed so much considering kids are the stars of the show. Seeing how passionate they are about this issue (beyond being able to skip school), admittedly surprised me--if the quick take on kids is that they are short-sighted, they clearly are the ones looking at the long haul here. The signs were funny and startling, but I was mainly trying to show this strike through a lens of age; juxtaposing the young and fired up with the older folks trying to keep up. Needless to say, this event makes me confident in our future generations, even as Greta was speaking apocalyptically over the loudspeakers.
